Valter Vitorino started his cooking career back in Brazil when he was
12 years old, using his Mother's authentic recipes. |
|
In 1969, Valter Vitorino,
came from Minas Gerais, Brazil, being
originally the first one from his hometown. Vitorino says, many thousands more have come to Boston from his town and neighboring Minas Gerais. |
| |
His first
work opportunity was at Anthony Pier 4 Restaurant. One
of the best ones of Boston. He took it very seriously
for 10 years, and at Julien Restaurant at the Meridien
Hotel (French Restaurant) for 6 more years. |
 |
Years have
passed by, and the Brazilian community has being growing
ever since. As he has always been an important person
in the community, he met a friend of his, Gilmar
Pinto, and they came up with the idea of opening
their own business... The Café Brazil Restaurant. |
|
Café Brazil Restaurant has now been serving home-style Brazilian food for over 22 years. “Real Brazilian cooking”, says Vitorino. So it’s no surprise that Café Brazil, Vitorino’s 22-year-old, is hopping. |
